    The Friday Five, Issue 25

Welcome to the Friday 5! Every Friday I will highlight 5 things I am currently loving.  This can be anything from habits that are currently serving me, clothes, apps, people I am currently loving, podcasts, food, mom hacks and everything in between!  What I am currently loving: Pottery Barn Duffle Bags I ordered these bags several years ago and we just love them.  Lilly and Stella’s bags were ordered before I was pregnant with Ruby, so they are at least 3 years old, if not closer to 5 and they still look brand new.  They are very lightweight and are much roomer than they appear, I’ve packed for a full…

Welcome to the Friday 5! Every Friday I will highlight 5 things I am currently loving.  This can be anything from habits that are currently serving me, clothes, apps, people I am currently loving, podcasts, food, mom hacks and everything in between!  What I am currently loving: Williams Sonoma Spatulas After having one red spatula from the dollar tree for most of my adult life, I asked for a set of good spatulas for Christmas a few years ago.  Honestly, I just wanted a matching grey set to put in a container on the counter for show.  I thought it would look really pretty.  So my mother-in-law got me this…

What I Learned From a 90 Day Workout Challenge

Last year, at the beginning of the stay at home orders in Louisiana my gym, Evolve Studios, did the quickest pivot I have ever seen and immediately had daily live streaming workouts and rapidly built a library of pre-recorded workouts for its’ members to do at home.  The first couple of weeks I would try to do “a little something” everyday and sign-on to the live workouts as often as my schedule allowed.  On Saturday, March 28th, after a pretty good week of at-home workouts, I decided I would take it easy and not workout.  My day was TERRIBLE.  The kids drove me crazy, Matt drove me crazy, I had…

    Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial day is upon us.  It is one of my favorite weekends of the year. The tradition of us hosting a crawfish boil started in 2016 when Lillian was baptized on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend.  A crawfish boil was the perfect way to celebrate with our friends and family.  We decided to keep the tradition alive and host a boil every year, and it’s the official start of summer for us.  I love hosting parties, but just don’t do it enough since the girls are still so little.  I am dying for a fancy dinner party, but the idea of having toddlers running around during cocktail hour ruins…

As well as all 3 of my girls as infants…

    My Spring Flowers

I wanted to share with you guys everything I planted this year.  I am hoping this will be my third year to keep everything alive and have added a few more pots around the backyard this year.  I typically have a black thumb, but am getting better and better at this.  All of these spots get partial to full sun every day, so they need to be hearty enough to stand the heat and if I forget to water them for a day or so! I had previously bought some pre-made mixed pots of flowers at our local garden store, but really wanted to try making the mix for myself…

    Spring Trend: Joyful Dressing

Springtime is the best time, am I right? I went on a walk yesterday and the smell of jasmine blooming all over our neighborhood just makes me so happy!  Another trend for Spring is clothes that spark joy or “joyful dressing.”  It’s no surprise that this is popular after the spring we had in 2020 where we basically never left the house.  I saw a quote somewhere recently that said something about the fashion of the Roaring 20s.  And how we will all be getting dressed up every time we leave the house now.  I know I am more excited than ever to put an outfit together for an event…
